Water Series
This piece is a creation to honor the Mississippi River that runs from northern Minnesota to New Orleans and out to the gulf and the ocean. It starts clear and clean, but in it's journey must absorb all of humanity's waste. As an advocate for protecting our waterways I felt compelled to create this multi media painting using encaustic, iron and copper paints, and oils, giving texture and depth to the surface of birch board.
